Want to Live 12 Years Longer? 30-Year Study Says THIS

According to one study, the potential to do that is much easier than many would imagine. This study has nothing to do with vigorous workouts or extreme yo-yo diets.
It doesn’t involve going anywhere, seeing any special doctors, or being a guinea pig in some experimental lab. It doesn’t include any of that!
Best of all, you can use this tip anywhere, anytime, around anyone, and even alone. You can do this at home, on vacation, in the office, in the car, when you wake up, and when you go to sleep. It requires zero purchases, and you could start applying this “longevity tip” before you even finish reading this article.

One of the greatest longevity tools you have is right between your two ears! The brain is powerful.
According to this 30-year study, “high optimism” was linked to 11-15% longer lifespans. (This also takes into account health and socioeconomic status.)
“Among psychosocial factors that appear to be potential health assets (e.g., social integration), optimism has some of the strongest and most consistent associations with a wide range of health outcomes, including reduced risk of cardiovascular events, lung function decline, and premature mortality. Investigators have speculated that optimism may facilitate healthier bio-behavioral processes, and ultimately longevity, because optimism directly contributes to how goals are translated into behaviors.”
Every single thing starts in the mind. Studies show that those with high optimism also are more likely to accomplish their life goals than those who don’t share the same level of optimism. (This in turn, boosts morale even more.)
While your power begins with your mindset, it has a ripple effect on the things you say, your decisions, how you behave, and the habits you create for yourself.
Every single thing you have done in life points back to your mind. And for that reason, scientific studies show that your mind can have the same powerful effect on your longevity.
Consider the Ugly Alternative
If you believe life isn’t worth living for, that things won’t get better, and that your best days are behind you, life will prove that you are right!
The mind is nothing more than a machine that we train. You can train it to see problems or you can train it to see solutions.
Those who choose the latter tend to accomplish more, have more rewarding relationships, have a greater sense of fulfillment in life, and have healthier lives. Is this not the core of longevity?
