Dear Longevity Insider,

We've been talking about fats lately.

Through this journey, I've addressed the idea of "good fats" and "bad fats." More specifically, I've explained the importance of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. (These are the good fats.) They do wonders for the human body...

Omega-3 Fatty Acids and Disease

Omega-3 fatty acids support and modulate numerous molecular and cellular mechanisms, especially in the retina, brain, and in inflammatory reactions. Omega-3 fatty acids support molecules that perform critical signaling between cells. Omega-3 fatty acids modulate membrane fluidity that's essential for the proper functioning of the tissues in the retina, brain, and much more.

Coronary Disease. Large-scale epidemiologic studies suggest that people at risk for coronary heart disease can benefit from adding omega-3 fatty acids to their daily diet. How? Omega-3s reduce coronary heart disease by:

  • Decreasing risk for arrhythmias.
  • Decreasing triglyceride and remnant lipoprotein levels.
  • Decreasing rate of growth of the atherosclerotic plaque.
  • Lowering (slightly) blood pressure.
  • Reducing inflammatory responses.
  • And more!

Omega-3s are essential fatty acids that you get from food or supplements that help build and support a healthy body.  Fatty acids play a role in cardiovascular, neurologic, and other diseases due to their mechanisms at a cellular level. They’re key to the structure of every cell wall you have. Also, they a great source of energy and help keep your body working the way it should.

I'm very particular about what I put in my body. I like to make sure that I'm taking care of my body now so that it takes care of me later in life. That's why I lean on THIS vibrant, green plant daily. When I was young, I remember my grandmother growing it in her garden. And she would use it for just about everything. I didn't understand this in my younger years... but as a doctor... I've done my research.

More than 1,300 studies have confirmed that this amazing plant could be the real-life “Fountain of Youth.” That's because it’s been shown to:

  • Skyrocket the production of immune cells by 60%!
  • Reduce the amount and depth of wrinkles by 233%.
  • Help increase your body’s natural insulin production by 74%.

A morning without this plant, and I just don't feel like my strong, healthy self.
