Dear Longevity Insider,

Anil Bajnath MD here with your Monday roundup.

Most Americans (over 70%) are either overweight or obese. Studies have linked obesity with increased risk for serious health complications, including:

  • Type 2 diabetes
  • High blood pressure
  • High cholesterol
  • Asthma
  • Liver disease and kidney disease
  • Reduced fertility
  • Numerous types of cancer: breast cancer, bowel cancer, etc.
  • Gallstones
  • Osteoarthritis, a condition involving pain and stiffness in your joints
  • Sleep apnoea

Culture and lifestyle play such a huge part in our health. Recently, the CDC released a very telling map of the U.S. giving incredible insight on obesity rates in YOUR area.
